History
Her Memory Inspires Change
K.H.S Foundation was founded in honor of Katie Hanna Stewart, who battled Alzheimer’s disease for more than 30 years before her passing. Her experience is the inspiration behind our commitment to Black families, caregivers, and individuals affected by Alzheimer’s, dementia, and mental health challenges.
We focus on those with low to middle incomes, working to bridge economic, health, and care disparities. Through awareness and advocacy, we stand for quality, comprehensive care that recognizes the needs of individuals and those caring for them. Katie’s memory guides our purpose: honoring her life by keeping families and equitable care central to our mission.
